OCIA Program

What is OCIA?

OCIA refers to the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) program within the Archdiocese of Chicago. OCIA is a process for adults preparing to become Catholic, involving spiritual formation, community life, and ultimately, the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. It is a process of evangelization when one experiences an encounter with Jesus Christ and makes a conscious choice to explore the Christian faith.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Catholic and would like more information about this wonderful opportunity please contact:
St. Patricia Religious Education Office at
